Thames Wedding Westminster from PORTOBELLO FILMS on Vimeo

We love this wedding video, we have filmed several Thames wedding videos this year. but his Thames wedding Westminster London wedding video is one of our favorites. Filmed in September with the late summer, early autumn orange sunlight reflecting off the Thames. The wedding boat departing from Westminster pier then the wedding boat travelled east to Canary Wharf, Docklands, the O2 Arena, then back past St Paul’s and onto Westminster. All against the backdrop of the beautiful setting sun.

Our wedding videographer London loved filming this wedding video. With the chance to play with the reflections through the windows of the boat as well as the city lights reflecting off the Thames. We think the bride looks amazing against the darkening sky. The wedding videographer was also able to use the neutral density filters that are supplied with the HD camera. Helping to control the exposure difference between the inside and the out side of the wedding boat and adding an extra bit of quality to the wedding filming.

We think that choosing to have you wedding, wedding reception or even your wedding ceremony on the Thames is a great idea. The moving London cityscape and the intimacy of the wedding boat makes a special wedding venue.

Church Wedding Video London, filmed at St James Norlands Churchand Debenham House in Holland Park which was some wedding venue in London

Wedding video London from on Vimeo.

Catching up with some blogging so this wedding highlights video is from way back in October Filmed in HD and delivered over 2 wedding dvds. The wedding video was shot at St James in Holland Park. Then we went onto the quite spectacular Debenham House just a short walk away. Our wedding videographer who went to meet the couple prior to the wedding at Debenham House just could not wait to get back in there. Especially so as Debenham House often doubles as a film location. In fact the increadible golden artium and balcony that is shown in the wedding video doubled as a north African location in an episode of Spooks.

Filmed by one of our wedding videographer London it really was a day to remember taking in the hidden treasure that is St James Norlands Church follow by the wonderful Debenham House Debenham House

Wedding video London from Portobello Films on Vimeo.

With the wedding reception venue at the impressive Stationers Hall and the main ceremony venue in the splendor of St Pauls Cathedral. Everybody and the most amazing day with all the excitement of being right in the very heart of historic London.
Our wedding videographer (in house of course no hiring of outsourced staff for our client’s wedding videos) being London based arrived in good time and as fresh as a daisy. With the reception just a short walk from the wedding at St Pauls the day could not be easier. Leaving our videographer all the time to discreetly pick his shots. We hope you agree that it does look quite splendid. All filmed in HD 1080 25p (non of that 1080i nonsence) and delivered as 8 widescreen wedding DVDs with an additional wedding speeches DVD

Welcome to our new blog. Over the course of the year we will document how our clients films are produced, from the initial contact through to delivery of the final film. We hope this will give you an insight and hopefully some ideas when you consider filming your wedding.

We have just completed a NTSC transfer for an American client from Iowa City USA. Unable to attend his niece’s wedding here in London. Dennis decided to purchase one of our packages as a wedding gift. Because here in Europe we use a different system for television, called PAL. It meant that Dennis needed a company that operated pro edit systems to transfer the footage to his native NTSC format. Happily we were glad to oblige and in fact we can transfer our films to any format worldwide.

Towards the end of last season we introduced our new cameras. So now has come the time to take down our old and fondly remembered samples and highlight what those new cameras can do.

After much debate we have managed to select Kathrina and Alistair’s absoulutely lovely village wedding in Dorset, for our example of the “Documentary” package.

Shot in and around  Charmouth.

We selected Kathrina and Alistair’s  Church wedding film in the end as we felt it highlighted how at ease people felt around the camera. Something that we really feel is important is that the film should be about the people starring in it. We have a sort of motto at Portobello Films – invisible but approachable – and we think that Kathrina and Alistair’s film shows both in equal measure. We hope you enjoy it.

However we cannot bring ourselves to take all those films away so we have kept one of our favorites from 2007. We will be adding some more examples to show our other packages, just once we can decide which ones.
